Lizard Argyle U18 Football Team (added 01/02/18)

Unfortunately the weather has played a huge part in several of the U18s league fixtures being postponed prior to Christmas and during January. The first two fixtures of the New Year, away to Leedstown and the home tie against Newquay, both fell foul to waterlogged pitches and will be rescheduled for later on in the season.
However the Lizard boys went in to the Christmas break with a superb 3-0 home win over Truro City Youth U18 Devils on 17th December (see team photo). Despite Lizard U18s dominating the match with goals from Jake Walters, Tom Giles and Reuben Barco, Manager Johnny Bray commended Truro for battling on and giving his team a great game.
Now into 2018 their season continues with the following league fixtures:
21.1.18 – Away to Godolphin Lightning
28.1.18 – Home to St Agnes AFC U18s
11.2.18 – Away to Falmouth UTD U18s
18.2.18 – Away to Truro City Youth U18 Devils
25.2.18 – Home to Rosudgeon 18
All fixtures are subject to change and, dependent upon the weather, not usually until the morning of the match! Hopefully the weather will settle, however, and Lizard Argyle U18s can continue their league campaign uninterrupted! Thank you to everyone for your support and a very Happy New Year to you all.

Lizard Youth U18s Football Team
A new era began at Lizard Argyle Football Club on Sunday 15th October 2017 when for the first time in its history youth football has been introduced to the club. Lizard Youth U18s, managed by Johnny Bray proudly took to the field to play in their first league match against Leedstown Leopards. A superb match played by both teams resulted in a 1-1 draw and the points being shared. The home goal was scored by Ben Smitheram, a fantastic start to youth football at The Lizard. The team have their next home match against Godolphin Lightning on Sunday 12th November.
